5.3 YouTube
We embed videos from the YouTube platform on our website. The service provider for users in the European Economic Area and Switzerland is:

We use a two-click solution. When you visit a page containing an embedded YouTube video, only a preview image stored on our own server is initially displayed. At this stage, no connection to YouTube is established.
The YouTube player from the domain youtube-nocookie.com is loaded only after you click the button to load the video. By clicking the button, you consent to a connection being established with the servers of Google and YouTube.
In particular, the following data may be processed:
- your IP address,
- the date and time of access,
- information about the browser and device used,
- the address of the page accessed,
- the referrer URL,
- information about the playback and use of the video, and
- where applicable, cookie or device identifiers.
If you are logged into a Google or YouTube account at the same time, Google may be able to associate your use of the video with your user account. To make such an association less likely, you can log out of your Google account before loading the video.
We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. According to YouTube, the playback of a video embedded in this mode is not used to personalise your browsing experience on YouTube or to personalise advertising outside our website. However, privacy-enhanced mode does not prevent data from being transmitted to Google when the video is loaded and played.
The video is embedded exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Where YouTube stores information on your device or accesses information already stored on your device, this is also carried out on the basis of your consent pursuant to Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).
With our technical implementation, your consent applies only to the individual loading process. It is not stored permanently. If you reload or revisit the page, the video will only be loaded after you provide your consent again. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
The processing or transfer of data to other companies within the Google group, in particular Google LLC in the United States, cannot be ruled out. According to Google, Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. An adequacy decision by the European Commission applies to appropriately certified companies.

Upon clicking, a connection is established to Brightcove’s servers, transmitting your IP address and technical browser data.
